Amsterdam - Bloemendaal 2–2
The 98th edition of the Klassieker ended in a draw. The 2-2 result means that Amsterdam have now gone eighteen league matches without a win against Bloemendaal. The Amsterdam side took the lead on two occasions, but Bloemendaal equalised both times. The 2-2 draw came following a fine individual effort by Zach Wallace. With this draw, Amsterdam are now unbeaten in ten league matches. However, the team saw Den Bosch draw level with them in the table. Bloemendaal dropped to fourth place following the draw.
Rotterdam – Oranje-Rood 1–2
Following defeats against Bloemendaal, Amsterdam, Den Bosch and Kampong, reigning national champions Rotterdam also lost the top match against Oranje-Rood.
Tijmen Reyenga sealed the victory nine minutes from time with a well-taken penalty corner. The visitors had taken the lead after just five minutes through Jaïr van der Horst. Within sixty seconds, Pepijn van der Heijden had levelled the score for Rotterdam from a penalty corner. The score remained 1–1 for a long time, until Reyenga secured victory for Oranje-Rood.
The Eindhoven side are now unbeaten in 31 league matches in a row. Away from home, Oranje-ROOD have gone fifteen matches without defeat. The team climbed to third place at Bloemendaal’s expense. Rotterdam, who have already lost five times this season, dropped to eighth place.
Den Bosch – Klein Zwitserland 8–1
At the Oosterplas, Den Bosch handed the visiting Klein Zwitserland a heavy defeat. With three goals, Timo Boers played a major part in the 8-1 victory.
Boers took his season tally to eleven goals. Thierry Brinkman was also prolific, scoring twice and bringing his total to seven goals. Koen Bijen, Malte Hellwig and Joppe Wolbert, who opened the scoring, were also prolific for Den Bosch.
The home side are now unbeaten in eight consecutive matches, and their last six league fixtures have all ended in victory. Following Amsterdam’s loss of points, Den Bosch are now level on points with the league leaders. Klein Zwitserland suffered their fourth consecutive defeat and have now gone five league matches without a win. The team do, however, remain in ninth place, one point ahead of tenth-placed HDM.
SCHC – HDM 4–2
With eleven points from seven matches, newly promoted SCHC are doing well in the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse. The team from Bilthoven are unbeaten in three matches and, thanks to their 4-2 victory over HDM, secured their second win in a row.
After just two minutes, Sam Martens put SCHC on course for the three points with his opening goal. Ten minutes later, Casper Hafkamp doubled the lead from a penalty corner. HDM fought their way back to 2–2 with Fabian Verzuu’s equaliser from a penalty corner. It was Verzuu’s eighth goal of the season. With two goals in four minutes in the final quarter, SCHC sealed the match in their favour. Tijn Douglas and Conor Empey scored for the home side.
SCHC sit in a respectable sixth place, well clear of the relegation zone. HDM remain tenth with four points. The Hague-based side have now gone six league matches without a win and have failed to pick up three points in seven away matches.
Tilburg – Pinoké 3–4
Bottom-of-the-table Tilburg looked set to claim their first point of the season in the fiftieth meeting between the two sides, but a goal by Florent van Aubel from a penalty corner variation five minutes from time left the Tilburg side empty-handed.
The Belgian had also opened the scoring for Pinoké after just one minute of play. In the first two quarters, there were six goals, evenly split between the two teams. Tilburg fought back from behind on two occasions and even briefly led 3-2.
Pinoké secured their second consecutive victory and moved up to seventh place at Rotterdam’s expense. Tilburg remain bottom of the table and are still without a point after seven matches.
Kampong – Schaerweijde 1–0
Dylan Lucieer’s goal after the break was enough for Kampong to secure their fourth win of the season. The Utrecht-based side have now won their last five matches at the Klapperboom. Kampong remain fifth in the table, but will play their postponed match against ORANJE-ROOD on Thursday. Like Tilburg, Schaerweijde remain without any points after seven match rounds. The team from Zeist have now gone ten matches without a win on the road. Based on goal difference, Schaerweijde sit in eleventh place in the league table.
