Kampong drop points again, HGC claim first win
The Kampong women’s team have dropped points once again. Following two consecutive defeats, the Utrecht-based side drew 2–2 at home against Oranje-Rood on Sunday. HGC secured their first league win by beating Bloemendaal 4–3. League leaders Den Bosch proved far too strong for bottom-of-the-table Victoria, who remain without a point (9–0), thanks in part to five goals from Frédérique Matla. Like Den Bosch, SCHC remain unbeaten after six rounds. The Bilthoven-based side beat Pinoké 3–1.
Following the death of former national referee and official Coen Peters, all matches in the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse will begin with a minute’s silence. The referees and officials will also wear black armbands.
HDM – Amsterdam 0–4
Amsterdam bounced back from last week’s 2-0 defeat against Den Bosch by winning 4-0 against HDM in The Hague.
After nine minutes, Freeke Moes opened the scoring with a backhand into the top corner, after which Katerina Langedijk doubled the lead following a fine counter-attack. In the final quarter, Langedijk also made it 0-3 by providing the final touch at the far post. Amsterdam’s fourth goal was scored by Yara Akkerman. She netted her first Hoofdklasse goal in the national champions’ colours against her former club.
With this victory, Amsterdam have now gone seventeen away matches without defeat. HDM suffered their fifth consecutive home defeat and slipped to eleventh place in the table.
Den Bosch – Victoria 9–0
The match between the league leaders and the bottom-of-the-table side was a one-sided affair. Victoria were no match for Den Bosch at the Oosterplas. The league leaders ran out 9-0 winners, securing their sixth consecutive league victory and remaining unbeaten so far this season.
Frédérique Matla, who was not called up for the Dutch national team’s training squad, scored five of the nine goals. This took her season tally to fifteen. Matla has now scored in twelve consecutive match rounds. The other goals for Den Bosch were scored by Charlotte Englebert, Sanne Koolen, Carlijn Vogelaar and Maartje Krekelaar. For Vogelaar, it was her first goal in the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse.
Victoria remain bottom of the table without any points following this heavy defeat. The newly promoted side have failed to score in their last four matches and have now lost ten consecutive matches at the top level, equalling a negative club record from the period 1994–2004.
Pinoké - SCHC 1-3
History offered Pinoké little comfort. The ‘Steekneuzen’ had never beaten SCHC at home in the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse. And that did not change this time either. SCHC secured their sixth league victory with a 3-1 win in the Amsterdamse Bos.
Yibbi Jansen was once again key for the visitors with two goals, taking her season tally to twelve. Her opening goal after six minutes was a field goal. Jansen won the ball in her own half, played it forward and then ran on. She received the ball back near the circle and struck it hard with her forehand. Pinoké’s equaliser towards the end of the first half came out of nowhere. Juul Sauer was alert to a rebound and tapped it in, her fifth goal of the season. Two minutes after the break, Jansen put SCHC back in front. This time from a penalty corner. Two minutes later, Maud van den Heuvel sealed the final score at 1–3.
SCHC are now unbeaten in 42 regular league matches and have won their last nine games. Pinoké suffered their second defeat in their last three matches and dropped to eighth place in the table.
Hurley – Rotterdam 0–1
Myrthe van Kesteren’s goal two minutes before half-time secured Rotterdam’s fourth win of the season. With this victory, coach Jorge Nolte’s side remain in fourth place in the league table. Moreover, Rotterdam opened up a gap over their rivals, who dropped points. Rotterdam are now unbeaten in four league matches, whilst Hurley suffered their third defeat in their last four matches. Despite the team’s current dip in form, Hurley still sit fifth.
Kampong – Oranje-Rood 2–2
Kampong have dropped points for the third match round in a row. Following defeats against SCHC (4–5) and Rotterdam (0–2), the Utrecht side could only manage a 2–2 draw against Oranje-Rood at their home ground, the Klapperboom.
Six minutes before half-time, the visitors took the lead through Merel Voermans. Bente van der Veldt levelled the score at 1-1 with a backhand into the far corner. With her seventh goal of the season, the club’s top scorer, Iris de Kemp, put Kampong ahead after the break. However, the team were unable to hold on to that lead. Nine minutes from time, Oranje-Rood equalised to make it 2-2 from a penalty corner taken by Madelief de Beer.
Although the Eindhoven side have now gone six away matches without a win, they are unbeaten in their last three league matches. Furthermore, coach Mark Dekker’s side moved up to seventh place at Pinoké’s expense. Kampong remain sixth. They are five points behind Rotterdam, who are fourth.
HGC – Bloemendaal 4–3
The joy at HGC after the match was understandable. Coach Wouter Tazelaar’s side had to wait a while for it, but on the sixth round the moment finally arrived: their first league victory. Bloemendaal were defeated 4-3 in stormy conditions.
However, it was the visitors who took the lead after nine minutes through Sophie Thoolen. Not long after, HGC equalised through Zoë Admiraal: 1-1. HGC then extended their lead to 3-1 through goals from Marta Segú Rueda and Faye Muijderman. A turnover by Valentina Raposo led to Maud Preyde’s goal, making it 3-2. In the fourth quarter, Jip Blaas restored the two-goal lead with a tip. Bloemendaal then pulled one back through Ryanne van Dooijeweerd, but there was too little time left to chase an equaliser.
HGC thus secured their first league victory since 10 May 2026, when they beat Pinoké 1-0. As a result, HGC moved up from eleventh to tenth place. Bloemendaal remain ninth following their third consecutive away defeat.
