Double milestone for Terrance Pieters after goal against Rotterdam

For the 29-year-old Pieters, his goal against Rotterdam therefore took on a special significance. Since joining Kampong, he has established himself as a key player in the Utrecht attack, and on Thursday he brought his tally for the club to exactly fifty league goals.

Of those fifty goals for Kampong, 42 were scored from open play. The remaining eight came from penalty corners. It was precisely that 42nd open-play goal for Kampong that earned him a second milestone.

Earlier in his Hoofdklasse career, Pieters played for Almere, for whom he scored eight field goals. As a result, his total number of field goals in the Hoofdklasse now also stands at fifty.

Heading towards 75 goals
In total, Pieters now has 73 Hoofdklasse goals to his name. Of these, he scored 23 for Almere and 50 for Kampong.

Rotterdam is Pieters’ favourite victim: over the years, that team has conceded ten goals from the pacy striker. Pinoké and Amsterdam follow with nine and eight goals respectively.
