Top scorers: goal-scoring sensation Iris de Kemp equals club record at Kampong
This season, 111 goals have already been scored in the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse Women, more than ever before after the first four match rounds. Frédérique Matla, Yibbi Jansen and Iris de Kemp have scored the most of those goals so far. In the men’s competition, HDM striker Fabian Verzuu remains the surprise leader of the scoring charts with six goals.

Frédérique Matla tops the scoring charts after four match rounds with nine goals. The Den Bosch striker has been prolific in her first four league matches this season and has now scored in ten consecutive Hoofdklasse match rounds, including the final round of last season.
Yibbi Jansen follows with eight goals. For the SCHC penalty corner specialist, this is her most productive start to a league campaign ever after four matches. Kampong forward Iris de Kemp is, surprisingly, in third place with six goals. She is only the second Kampong player, after Saskia Fuchs in 2003–2004, to have scored six goals in the first four match rounds.
The Hoofdklasse Women has enjoyed an unprecedentedly productive start. After four full match rounds, the tally already stands at 111 goals in 24 matches, averaging 4.63 goals per match. Never before has a season begun so productively.

Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse Men
After three match rounds, Fabian Verzuu remains the surprise leader in the top scorers’ table. The 31-year-old striker scored twice away at Klein Zwitserland, bringing his tally to six goals and keeping him just ahead of Timo Boers. The Den Bosch defender scored twice in the crunch match against Rotterdam, taking his tally to five goals. Boers is now just nine goals away from his 100th league goal whilst playing for Den Bosch.
Bloemendaal striker Casper van der Veen has burst onto the scene in the broad group of players just behind Verzuu and Boers. He scored three of The Mussen’s nine goals in their home match against Schaerweijde (9–1). It was Van der Veen’s second hat-trick in his Hoofdklasse career.
