The weekend in numbers: Burkhardt off to a flying start, Matla strikes again

1 – Amsterdam striker Fay van der Elst once again lived up to her reputation as a lightning starter. For the fifth season in a row, she found the net on the first round of the new season (ten goals in total).

1 - Den Bosch midfielder Charlotte Englebert scored three times at home against Pinoké (7–1), recording her first hat-trick in the Hoofdklasse.

2 - Frédérique Matla also scored a hat-trickfor Den Bosch against Pinoké. It was the first time since 4 May 2025 that two players from the same team had each scored at least three goals in the same Hoofdklasse match (on that occasion, it was Matla and Teuntje de Wit in Den Bosch’s 10–1 home victory over Huizen).

3 - On the first round of the season, three out of the four penalty strokes taken failed to find the net. For Rotterdam, only Biba Mills managed to score. Margot van Hecking Colenbrander (Hurley), Lana Kalse (Pinoké) and Claire Moerman (Victoria) all failed to convert their attempts.

7 – On their return to the Hoofdklasse,Victoria suffered a 1–3 home defeat against Rotterdam. That was their seventh consecutive home defeat at the top level, a new negative club record.

9 – For the ninth consecutive season, Matla scored a hat-trick in at least one Hoofdklasse match. Only Maartje Paumen has done so more often (ten consecutive seasons).

16 – Den Bosch midfielder Laura Nunnink returned to the pitch after sixteen months, having sustained a serious knee injury on 29 May last year.

18 - Matla scored for the eighteenth match in a row against Pinoké, netting 34 goals during that run.

23 - Matla scored a hat-trick for Den Bosch in the Hoofdklasse for the 23rd time in her career. Only Mijntje Donners (25) and Maartje Paumen (39) have managed more.

24 – Bloemendaal lost 0–3 to Kampong and, for the 24th consecutive time, failed to keep a clean sheet in a home match, equalling a negative club record.

26 – Den Bosch’s 26th home match against Pinokéalso resulted in a victory for the Bosschenaren. This further extended the longest-running winning streak ever in the women’s league.

32 – Den Bosch remained unbeaten for the 32nd consecutive time on the opening weekend of the Hoofdklasse (25 wins, 7 draws), a new league record.

39 – Kampong scored in an away match for the 39th consecutive time, breaking a club record.

2 - Kampong lost to Pinoké (0-3) and failed to score in the Hoofdklasse for the second match in a row.

2 – Striker Duco Telgenkamp scored two goals on his debut for Amsterdam, helping secure a 5-0 victory over Tilburg.

8– Pinoké scored at least three goals in an away match against Klein Zwitserland (3–3), breaking a club record.

9 – HDM ended a run of nine consecutive home matches without a win in the Hoofdklasse (2 draws, 7 defeats) against Schaerweijde (4–3).

10 - Amsterdam forward Boris Burkhardt scored his tenth goal in a season opener against Tilburg. This century, only Jeroen Hertzberger (fourteen) and Mink van der Weerden (twelve) have scored more goals on the first round of the season.

11 – Thanks to their victory over Schaerweijde,HDM maintained their unbeaten record in home matches against the team from Zeist. Eleven encounters between the two sides in The Hague have resulted in nine wins and two draws.

25 – HDM forward Fabian Verzuu scored three goals against Schaerweijde, becoming the first HDM player in 25 years to score a hat-trick in the Hoofdklasse. The previous hat-trick was scored by Arnoud Schollema in 2001.

26 – With a 3–1 victory over Rotterdam,Bloemendaal remained unbeaten for the 26th consecutive round of the new Hoofdklasse season (W22 D4), the longest run of any current team.

44 – After 44 home matches in which they had scored at least one goal in each, Den Bosch finally failed to find the net on their own pitch (0–0 against Kampong). That run was the second-longest in the club’s history.
