Hurley’s women’s team have enjoyed a rare flying start to the season, whilst Pinoké’s men’s team set a new club record for home matches. Here are the stats from the second match round in the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse.

Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse Women

2 – Hurley are enjoying one of the best starts to a season in the club’s history. The Bosuilen have won their first two Hoofdklasse matches of a season for only the second time. This had previously only happened in the 2021–22 season.

3 - Oranje-Roodscored three goals in the first two match rounds, all of which were scored by Charlotte Schrijvers.

3 - SCHC midfielder Yibbi Jansen is now just three goals away from her 150th penalty corner goal in the Hoofdklasse, following her successful penalty corner against Rotterdam. She has converted 28 corners for Oranje-Rood and 119 whilst playing for SCHC.

4 – Aftertwo match rounds, four teams remain without any points: HGC, Bloemendaal, Victoria and HDM

9 – SCHC striker Jip Dicke scored her ninth goal ever against Rotterdam. That team is now her favourite opponent in the Hoofdklasse.

12 – DenBosch have already scored twelve goals in their first two matches of the season: that is an improvement on the club record set in the 2003–2004 and 2008–2009 seasons (when they scored eleven goals).

19 – HDMhave conceded a goal in the Hoofdklasse for the nineteenth match in a row. They are now just one match away from equalling the club’s negative record.

20 – Den Bosch have scored no fewer than twenty goals in their last four league matches against HGC: 6 – 4 – 5 – 5.

27 – Notably, Yibbi Jansen did not play against Rotterdam wearing her usual number 8, but wore a shirt with the number 27 on the back, on which her name was missing.

50 – Jip Dicke’s goal against Rotterdam was her fiftieth field goal in the Hoofdklasse. In total, the striker has now scored 69 times for HDM and SCHC.
