SCHC beats Kampong as league leaders Den Bosch claim victory
On the fourth round of the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse, SCHC defeated Kampong in a high-scoring top match. The final score at the Klapperboom in Utrecht was 4–5. With this victory, SCHC remain unbeaten, just like league leaders Den Bosch, who beat Bloemendaal 3-0 at home. Reigning national champions Amsterdam won the local derby against Pinoké by a comfortable margin: 0-4. HGC and Victoria remain without any points after four rounds.
Kampong – SCHC 4–5
At the Klapperboom, the match between Kampong and SCHC turned out to be the highest-scoring edition of this fixture. The final score was 4-5 to the visitors from Bilthoven, with the battle between strikers Iris de Kemp (Kampong) and Jip Dicke (SCHC) ending in a draw. Both scored a hat-trick.
After a goalless first quarter, SCHC took the lead.Following a fine pass from Renée van Laarhoven, Jip Dicke turned away from her marker and left goalkeeper Babette Backers with no chance. Kampong’s response was not long in coming. Mikki Roberts slotted home to make it 1–1. Dicke then was prolific. She intercepted the ball, sprinted into the circle and beat Backers with a shot over her shoulder. Once again, Kampong’s response was swift. A move started by Carlijn Tukkers was finished off by Iris de Kemp, meaning both teams went into the break level at 2–2.
Shortly after the break, SCHC pulled away from Kampong thanks to goals from Maud van den Heuvel and Yibbi Jansen, the latter from a penalty corner. It was her 150th penalty corner goal in the Hoofdklasse. She has converted 28 corners for Oranje-Rood and 122 as a player for SCHC. De Kemp then brought the tension back into the game (3–4) and went on to equalise at 4–4. After a fine first touch, she fired the ball into the corner.
It was her first hat-trick in the Hoofdklasse. After four matches, De Kemp has already scored six goals, almost equalling her tally from last season (7 goals). Dicke had the final say, juggling the ball in the circle and slotting it past Backers to make it 4-5. It was her fourth hat-trick in the Hoofdklasse.
Thanks to this victory, SCHC remain unbeaten and have now gone forty league matches without defeat. Kampong suffered their first defeat of the season.
Den Bosch – Bloemendaal 3–0
Last season, Bloemendaal caused an upset with a 2-1 victory at the Oosterplas. For two quarters, the visitors looked set to pull off another upset, but this time Den Bosch – who were without Lieve Wijckmans, Joosje Burg, Pien Sanders and Anouk Brouwer, amongst others – were not caught off guard.
Nine minutes after the break, the home side took the lead. Following a move by Brechtje van Santbrink, the ball ended up at the far post, where Imme van der Hoek tapped it in. Two minutes later, Frédérique Matla doubled the lead from a penalty corner. This meant she had scored in ten consecutive match rounds. During that run, Matla scored nineteen goals, as she also put the score at 3–0. With her backhand, she netted her ninth goal of the season and her hundredth field goal in league competition.
With four wins from four matches, Den Bosch have made an excellent start to the league campaign. Furthermore, the home side have kept a clean sheet in their last three matches. Bloemendaal suffered their third defeat of the season and have now gone five matches in the Hoofdklasse without a win.
Pinoké – Amsterdam 0–4
The rain proved a spoilsport in the local derby in the Amsterdamse Bos. The half-time break lasted longer than planned. Due to the heavy rainfall, the pitch had become unplayable.
At that point, Amsterdam were already leading 1-0 following a goal from Ivy Tellier. After the long break, Katerina Langedijk doubled the lead by sliding the ball in at the far post. Felice Albers made it 3-0 in the third quarter. Trijntje Beljaars sealed the final score at 4-0 in the closing stages. It was Beljaars’ fiftieth goal in the top flight.
Amsterdam, who had won just once in their last four matches, are now unbeaten in six league games in a row. Pinoké suffered their second defeat of the season.
Hurley - Victoria 4-0
Hurley have bounced back well from last Thursday’s bitter 3-2 defeat against Amsterdam. Victoria, who remain bottom of the table with no points, proved to be just the remedy.
Thanks in part to three goals from Sanne Caarls, Hurley proved too strong for the newly promoted side, winning 4-0. Romée Corver scored the other goal for Hurley. Here too, the rain proved a spoilsport. Just as in the Pinoké v Amsterdam match, the half-time break was extended due to heavy rainfall, which had made the pitch unplayable.
For Hurley, it was their third win in four league matches. Moreover, the team kept a clean sheet at home for the first time since 16 November 2024 (Huizen, 5–0). Victoria have now gone twelve league matches without a win in the Hoofdklasse.
HGC – HDM 0–1
At last, victory came for HDM. The Hague-based side last won on 12 April 2026, beating Hurley 1-0, and subsequently suffered seven defeats in a row. With this derby victory, HDM avoided equalling a negative club record.
By the halfway point of the first quarter, HDM had failed to take the lead. However, Belén van den Broek saw her penalty stroke saved by her former team-mate Julia Remmerswaal. HDM quickly recovered from the blow of the missed penalty stroke. The American talent Reese d’Ariano put the visitors ahead not long after.
That goal was enough for HDM to break their winless streak. HGC remain without any points after four league matches.
Rotterdam – Oranje-Rood 2–2
For the first time in the Hoofdklasse’s history, the match between Rotterdam and Oranje-Rood ended in a draw.
A defensive error by Rotterdam led to Oranje-Rood’s opening goal. And who else but Charlotte Schrijvers scored it. The striker had scored all four of the Eindhoven side’s goals in the league so far this season. Towards the end of the first quarter, Rotterdam levelled the score. England’s Biba Mills converted a penalty stroke after Myrthe van Kesteren was struck on her stick. With a superb strike from Madelief de Beer over the sliding goalkeeper Kelsey Bing, Oranje-Rood took a 1-2 lead five minutes after the break. Oranje-Rood looked set for their first win of the season, but with two minutes to go, the score was 2–2. Myrthe van Kesteren scored from a rebound following a penalty corner taken by Mills.
