Milestone weekend for Matla and Jansen: 100 field goals and 150 pc goals

Matla reached her milestone on Sunday in the 3–0 home win against Bloemendaal. Her goal in the 57th minute was precisely her 100th field goal in the regular Hoofdklasse.

The Den Bosch striker has now scored 224 league goals, comprising 100 field goals, 101 penalty corner goals and 23 penalty strokes. Remarkably, her field goals and penalty corner goals are almost perfectly balanced in her overall tally.

Matla scored most of her field goals during the 2020–2021 season, when she found the net fourteen times from open play. In the 2018–2019 and 2021–2022 seasons, she scored thirteen field goals.

Jansen reaches 150 from a penalty corner
Jansen reached her milestone in SCHC’s spectacular away match against Kampong, which they won 4–5. Her penalty corner in the 35th minute – making it 2–4 – was her 150th from that source in the Hoofdklasse.

Jansen’s tally now stands at 184 league goals: 150 from penalty corners, seventeen field goals and seventeen penalty strokes. This means that over 81 per cent of all her Hoofdklasse goals have come directly from a penalty corner.

Her best penalty corner season to date is 2021–22, with twenty goals. In three other seasons she scored nineteen: 2022–23, 2023–24 and 2025–26.
