Jansen and Hertzberger first guests on the new hockey podcast ‘De Scoop’
The Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse is getting its own weekly podcast. In ‘De Scoop’, presenters Anne-Greet Haars and Marcel Maijer, together with former Dutch national team goalkeeper Pirmin Blaak, discuss stories from and around the hockey pitches. Yibbi Jansen and Jeroen Hertzberger will be guests on the first episode on Monday 28 September.
The podcast is an initiative of the Staatsloterij, the league’s eponymous main sponsor. Alongside players from the Hoofdklasse, former internationals, athletes from other disciplines and well-known Dutch figures with a hockey background will also be joining the programme.
The conversations will cover topics including rivalries, club traditions, friendships and the highs and lows of a sporting career. Blaak also aims to shed light on aspects of the sport that receive less attention during match analyses. ‘But *De Scoop* is primarily about the love of sport,’ says the Olympic champion.
A new episode is released every Monday afternoon on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. From Tuesday at 5.00 pm, it can also be listened to via hockey.nl. Clips are posted on De Scoop’s Instagram account and on the Hoofdklasse and club channels.
