The KNHB has announced the fixture list for the 2026–2027 season in the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse. In the men’s competition, champions Rotterdam will kick off the season on Sunday 27 September with a cracker of a match away at Bloemendaal. Champions Amsterdam will start the women’s competition at home against Oranje-Rood.

The first match round in the men’s competition certainly features plenty of interesting matches. As well as Bloemendaal v Rotterdam, newly promoted SCHC in Bilthoven will host Oranje-Rood The other newcomer, Tilburg, faces an away trip to Amsterdam straight away. Kampong begins the season at Den Bosch, whilst Pinoké travels to Klein Zwitserland. HDM-Schaerweijde rounds off the opening round.

A week later, on Sunday 4 October, the men’s fixtures immediately include two matches between teams from the traditional top tier. Rotterdam host Amsterdam at the Hazelaarweg, whilst Pinoké and Bloemendaal face each other in the Amsterdamse Bos. Another week later, the Bosderby between Amsterdam and Pinoké is on the programme.

Staatsloterij Women’s Hoofdklasse
In the women’s competition, reigning national champions Amsterdam kick off in front of their home crowd against ORANJE-ROOD on Sunday 27 September. Den Bosch, last season’s runners-up in the battle for the national title, open their campaign at home against Pinoké. Title contenders SCHC kick off on home turf against HGC, whilst Kampong travel to face Bloemendaal.

For newly promoted Victoria, their Hoofdklasse adventure begins with a home match against Rotterdam. HDM-Hurley is the sixth match of the opening round.

A week later, Kampong and SCHC face each other in Utrecht. On Sunday 18 October, the first real classic of the season is on the programme: Amsterdam v Den Bosch.

November will see matches including SCHC v Den Bosch and Amsterdam v SCHC. On Sunday 15 November, there will even be two top-of-the-table clashes on the programme at the same time: Amsterdam v SCHC and Den Bosch v Kampong.

Sunday as the fixed round

The women’s matches will generally start at 12.45 pm on Sundays, followed by the men’s matches at 3.00 pm. During midweek match rounds, matches for both the men and women will start at 8.30 pm.
