No winner in Kampong versus Amsterdam
The top match on the second round of the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse Women between Kampong and Amsterdam ended in a draw. At the Klapperboom in Utrecht, Trijntje Beljaars scored twice to prevent defeat for the reigning national champions (2–2). Den Bosch thrashed HGC (0–5) and SCHC beat Rotterdam 4–1. Newly promoted Victoria suffered their second defeat, losing 2–1 to Oranje-Rood in Eindhoven.
Pinoké - HDM 3-2
Pinoké have bounced back from the blow of last week’s 7-1 defeat against Den Bosch. At home, they beat HDM 3-2. Pinoké got off to a good start.Lana Kalse fired a rebound into the net after six minutes to give the Steekneuzen the lead. Last season’s top scorer also made it 2-0 by converting the penalty stroke awarded to her. Five minutes before half-time, Juul Sauer tapped in the third goal following a move down the right by Floor de Haan.
Late in the fourth quarter, it became a nail-biter for Pinoké. Just before the final whistle, HDM pulled one back through a penalty stroke converted by Belén van den Broek. And two minutes later, the tension was back in full force after Claire Fischer made it 3–2 from a penalty corner. To Pinoké’s relief, the equaliser did not materialise. HDM suffered their sixth consecutive league defeat.
Hurley - Bloemendaal 2-1
With two wins from their first two matches, Hurley have made an excellent start to the league campaign. In their home match against Bloemendaal, it was the visitors who got off to the better start. Rosalie Rosman put Bloemendaal ahead as early as the first minute. In the second quarter, Hurley levelled the score. Margot van Hecking Colenbrander slotted the penalty corner precisely between the goalkeeper and the line-stop into the net.
That draw remained on the scoreboard until the closing stages. With just under five minutes left on the clock, Hurley sealed the match. Teuntje Horn scrambled the penalty corner variation over the line for the winning 2–1. For Hurley, it was their first home win following a run of five matches without a victory in front of their own fans. Their last home win was a 4-2 victory over Tilburg on 16 November 2025.
Kampong – Amsterdam 2–2
The eightieth meeting between Kampong and Amsterdam ended in a draw. The final score was 2–2, although Kampong had already taken a 2–0 lead after just twelve minutes. Guusje Moes opened the scoring, tapping a cross from the right into the net. She thus marked her return to the match squad with a goal. Eight minutes later, the score was 2-0. Mea de Vries finished off a brilliant attack that was set up by a backhand pass from Charlotte Hoctin Boes.
Before the end of the first quarter, Amsterdam reduced the deficit through Trijntje Beljaars. The score remained 2–1 until the closing stages of the fourth quarter. A yellow card for Hoctin Boes following a foul on Felice Albers proved to be the turning point. Kampong found themselves with their backs against the wall, and it was ultimately Beljaars who equalised to make it 2–2. For Amsterdam, the draw meant the team are now unbeaten in fourteen consecutive away matches. Kampong are unbeaten in five home matches.
Oranje-Rood – Victoria 2–1
As early as the second round, this was perhaps already a six-point game for both teams. The visitors from Rotterdam took the lead after seven minutes thanks to a well-taken penalty corner by Julie van den Nieuwenhof. Sloppy defending by Victoria led to the equaliser. It was ultimately Charlotte Schrijvers who scored for the home side. Seven minutes later, Schrijvers was prolific again, securing Oranje-Rood’s first win of the season with a fine strike. Newly promoted Victoria, just like on the first round, came away empty-handed. The Rotterdam side have now gone ten Hoofdklasse matches without a win.
Rotterdam – SCHC 1–4
Just as on the first round, SCHC struggled in the first two quarters. The team, led by, travelled to Rotterdam without the Belgian Louise Dewaet, Anna de Geus and Pien Dicke. Dicke sustained an ankle injury last week against HGC and will be sidelined for several weeks. The match saw few highlights until, just before half-time, the home side took the lead through a well-taken penalty corner by Bo van Kempen. Just as against HGC, SCHC found themselves trailing.
A failed scoop by Rotterdam led to Jip Dicke’s equaliser. It came as no surprise that Dicke scored against Rotterdam; that team is her favourite opponent. Nine of her 69 Hoofdklasse goals have been scored against the Rotterdam side. Incidentally, the goal was Dicke’s fiftieth field goal in the Hoofdklasse.
Shortly afterwards, Yibbi Jansen put SCHC ahead. Jansen, wearing the number 27 and with no first name on her back, slotted home to make it 1–2. At the start of the fourth quarter, Elzemiek Zandee extended the lead to 1–3, after which Jansen sealed the final score at 1–4 with a converted penalty stroke. Thanks to this victory, SCHC are now unbeaten in 38 league matches and have gone 28 away matches without defeat. Rotterdam, who beat Victoria last week, have now gone seven matches without a home win.
HGC – Den Bosch 0–5
Den Bosch has made an excellent start to the league campaign. Following last week’s 7-1 victory over Pinoké, they defeated HGC 5-0 on the second round. With twelve goals in their first two matches, the Den Bosch side set a new club record. It was also their seventh consecutive away win in the league, including four clean sheets.
The team had travelled to Wassenaar without Joosje Burg (ill) and Pien Sanders (sidelined as a precaution). These absences did not seem to trouble the Den Bosch side. After just six minutes, Brechtje van Santbrink scored her first goal for her new team, following a well-applied advantage rule. A minute later, it was already 0–2. This time, Lieve Wijckmans scored, tapping in Emma Reijnen’s cross. Reijnen herself later made it 3–0 for Den Bosch after the Argentine world champion Valentina Raposo lost possession.
Den Bosch extended their lead before half-time. Frédérique Matla slotted home from a penalty corner to make it 0-4 and then went on to score the 0-5. That was her 300th goal for Den Bosch, across all leagues. To date, she has scored 220 goals in the Hoofdklasse, 23 in the play-offs, 25 in the Gold Cup and 32 in European competitions.
