Anyone watching Amsterdam score in recent months will almost inevitably spot a Cassiem name on the scoresheet. Dayaan and Mustapha Cassiem have been responsible for at least one Amsterdam goal in thirteen consecutive Hoofdklasse matches.

The last league match in which neither brother scored was on 9 November 2025. Amsterdam drew 1–1 away at Schaerweijde that day. Since then, at least one of the two South African internationals has found the net in every league match: Dayaan scored eight goals, whilst Mustapha found the net eleven times.

The run began a week later at Hurley, where Mustapha opened the scoring in a 0–3 victory. It was the final league match of the 2025 calendar year. In the months that followed, the brothers took turns. On four occasions, they even both scored in the same match: against Den Bosch, Oranje-Rood, Bloemendaal and last Sunday at Rotterdam.

The run also continued in the first two match rounds of this season. Dayaan scored in late September in the 5–0 opening victory against Tilburg. In the spectacular 3–4 victory over national champions Rotterdam, both brothers were prolific: Dayaan scored one goal, Mustapha two.

Amsterdam host Pinoké on Sunday. If Dayaan or Mustapha score again, their joint scoring streak will be extended to fourteen Hoofdklasse matches.
