Bukkens and Hortensius were the top assisters of 2025–2026
Nine days to go until the start of the Staatsloterij Hoofdklasse. We’re counting down to the start of the season with a statistic every day. Today we’re focusing on top scorers Miles Bukkens and Olivier Hortensius.
In the men’s league, Miles Bukkens (Pinoké) and Olivier Hortensius (Rotterdam) both finished top of the assists table last season. The two forwards each provided nine decisive passes to teammates during the regular season.
Bukkens himself also scored sixteen goals, whilst Hortensius found the net ten times, nine of which came from open play. For both players, therefore, scoring and providing assists went hand in hand.
However, Bukkens and Hortensius’s goal tallies fell well short of the top three on the top scorers’ list. That list was led last season by Timo Boers (Den Bosch, 31 goals), Struan Walker (ORANJE-ROOD, 26) and Joep Troost (Pinoké, 23).
